I shrugged. “I’m not sure. Though if I were her and saw you, I would’ve thoguht it was odd to see a girl looking like my mistress.”

She mumbled a whatever under her breath.

I smirked. “Hurry up jun, get dressed.”

But she didn’t move. She looked up at me and a frown blossomed across her face. “Mika...do you know anyone named...Hikari?”

“Hee-Ka-Ree?” I raised an inquiring brow. “No, why so?”

“because...yesturday I had a dream...” And she explained verything to me.

‘Dark...Dark...I know him. He’s the boy who hates me. But...why would he be in her dream?’ I drummed my figners against my thigh.

“So...I’m not sure what to think right now...” Jun averted her gaze and let out a sigh.

I didn’t know what to think. First this Hee-Ka-Ree girl, and now Dark. I shook my head. I’m not a bit susperstitious and I usually ignroe my dreams. “Jun, ignore it, it’s probably some demented dream that your brain conjured up. It’s not real.”

She shrugged. “Alright, whatever you say.”

“Although, I’m not quite sure why people cannot see you...” I shrugged, and Jun seemed relieved that I changed the topic.

“Anyways, I’m washing up so, shoo shoo.” I waved Jun out the door and I caught a glimpse of her walking to the garden before I shut the door and locked it.

Tan Jun

I hmph-ed slightly as Mika ushered me out the door. “Some friend she is.” I muttered udner my breath as I strode over to the breath-taking gardens.

The smell of roses wavered in the air, and I leaned over to sniff the red roses to its exstent. “Hmmm...” My stomach grumbled. “Poo, I’m hungry.”

I plopped down onto the fresh green grass and I leaned on my arm. “Mika had better hurry up otherwise this Jun won’t be patient anymore.” I grumbled.

I snapped out of my daydreams when I heard bushes rustling. I swiftly turned around. “Who’s there!” I yelled, my voice challenging the unkown person to move any further.

The bushes rustled some more, and yet the person did not seem to hear me. I tip-toed toawrds the bushes...A boy jumped out and landed right infront of Mika’s door. I held back a quick gasp and it was my turn to hide in the bushes.

I narrowed my eyes suspiciously at him. ‘What is he here for?’

The boy, I couldn’t see his face, opened the door quietly and slipped in. I frowned. He can’t intrude people’s privacy like that!

I hoped out from the bushes and slammed Mika’s door open.

2 things happened.

1, Mika standing there all dressed up, started to scream.

2, the boy jumped out and dumped water over Mika.

“Okay...” I muttered under my breath. “That was quite...fascinating...”

The boy snickered and tried to run out the door behind me. Oh, but I was ready. I grabbed his wrist and spun him around. “You won’t escape like that you-” I stopped abruptly.

“D-Dark?” I whispered. He looked about Mika’s age, which was 12, and he scowled darkly at me.

“What do you want.” He growled.

I shrugged. “Oh, well, I was just trying to defend my friend’s privacy from someone.”

He growled at me and aimed kick underneath me. I was surprised, I stumbled onto the floor and Mmmm....is that candy on Mika’s drawer? How come she never told me she had candy! That sneak...

“Hey!” I quickly focused my attention back to Mika. “Give it back, Dark.” he yelled to him. Dark just shrugged and grinned lazily.

“lemme think about it Mika...oh...how about...no?” His sleazly grinned appeared on his face once again.

I really wanted to jump up and punch him in the face, but those candies on Mika’s drawer were calling to me...

Chang Mika

“Jun, please block the door.” I asked politely. No answer came. “Jun?”

I asked again. I spun around to see Jun munching happily on my candy. ‘Idiot.’

Dark took this chance to dash off, but Iw as ready. I grabbed his ankle and held him up. “How about giving it back now?” I asked.

Dark shook his head. He’s so stubborn. So, I started shaking him. I shook him up down and all around, and after enternity my bracelet that my mother had given me fell onto the crimson carpeted floor.

Dark growled deep in his throat at me. “LET ME GO MIKA!” He struggled for a bit, but i held him up...until he aimed a punch in my stomach.

“Ouch.” I felt the wind knocked out of me. I reached for the bracelet and I held it tightly in my hand. “Go away Dark.” I shouted as loud as I could.

Jun finally came to ehr senses and ran over to the door. “You’re trapped hun.” She smiled widely, showing her chocolate covered teeth.

Dark looked around, seeing he couldn’t escape, he bit his lip and sighed. “Okay okay I give up. Let me go.” He looked up...right up into a window...with no curtains...right between me and him.

He got a crazy grin again. “Actually...I think I’ll be just fine.” He jumped onto a table and jumped again so he could reach the window ledge, but Jun grabbed his ankle (yet again) and she slapped him across the face.

“Number one Dark, it’s rude to intrude a girl’s privacy. Number two, it’s not nice to take a girl’s possesion and number three, never, ever step on expensive furniture and she kicked him in the stomach.

“Jun...” I warned her. She was hitting him to much.

“And never ever think you’re better than a girl.” Jun continued on rambling throwing random punches here and there.

“Jun-”

“And never do that again!” Punch.

“JUN! LISTEN WIlL YOU!” Jun stopped and turned to me.

“What?” She raised an inquiring brow.

“I think that’s enough, let him go.” I gestured to krad who had a bruise on his arm, a bloody nose and glaring daggers at Jun.

“Are you sure Mika?”

“YES! LET HIM GO!” I screamed at her.

Jun tensed up, nodded rapidly and opened the door and Dark dashed off to who-knows-where.

Jun turned around. Her eyes were slanted and her breaths were coming out quickly. “I was only trying to help!” She snapped.

“Yes well you should help less.” I snapped back, fists clenching at my side.

“Well please excuse me the next time someone decides to intrude your privacy, seeing you don’t care.” She huffed. her face turned a light shade of red and she ran off.

“Idiot.” I muttered into my sleeve.

“Ms. Mika! Are you ready? Oh...” Zhen looked over me. I was wet. Dripping wet. Dark decided it would be fun to dump laundry water over me.

“Dark again, eh?” She smiled knowingly.

“Um...yea...” I looked out the door. ‘Where did you go Jun?’

Tan Jun

I dashed off.

“Stupid Mika. I was only trying to help, but she didn’t care. Oh no, she blamed me.” I sank to my knees onto the grass and started plucking it out and throwing it into the air. “She’s so not fair.”

Something wet dripped onto a blade of grass. And soon, more followed. That was when i realized I was crying. I’ve enevred cried for anyone before.

And yet the wet tears dripped down my face and onto the grass. “She’s mean! I hate her! I HATE HER!”

It was beginning to get colder...and colder...I shivered. I rubbed my arms around myself and sobbed.

“Take my hand Jun...”

Was it just me, or am I having a major sense of deja vu here? I looked up from my spot.

It was so cold...An eerie hand was placed infront of me and I looked up into cold distant eyes. “Take my hand...” The hand reached out some more.

I shook my head. “G’way, can’t a girl sulk in peace?” I yelled at the hand.

“You’re growing anger is beautiful...take my hand Jun.”

“No way hose. I’m not taking some hand from outer space.” I shook my hand and crossed my arms stubbornly.

The hand grabbed my arm tightly. Okay, mahor MAJOR sense of deja vu here...I tried to shake my arm off, but he wouldn’t let go. The hand was pale and smooth...

“Gway!” I yelled again.

Something hit me on the head and my vision was blury. I shook my head, but ieverything was getting even more blurry.

Give up...came a voice in my head.

NO! I yelled to it.

Remember when Mika thought she was better than you? Remember? Remember when she snapped at you when you tried to help her!

Something snapped within me. She had hurt me, Mika, my only friend, a person whom I could call my best friend. She promised to listen...

Promises are meant to be broken. A voice sneered in my head.

“NO! STOP!” I screamed, tears of rage running down my face.

But it didn’t.

REMEMBER JUN! REMMBER WHEN BRENDA STOPPED PLAYING WITH YOU? REMEMBER WHEN JANEY WAS BEING SELFSIH? DO YOU REMEMBER? AND WHEN YOUR BEST FRIEND HURT YOU...

I was angry, not at the fact that I’ve been hurt...but the fact that this person was stating out comment that he should not have known.

“Quiet you!” I yelled to him, I covered my ears and shook my head hard.

Be mad at me. Be angry...that is when you can be free.

I thought about it. He did have a point. He thrust his hand infront of my face again.

And this time, I gladly took it.

Chang Mika

Two weeks. Two weeks without Jun. Two weeks without knowing where she is. Is she that mad at me? Is she? Yet, she does not seem to miss her own time I sighed wearily and glanced out of the classroom window.

“Mika, stop staring and get to your work!” The teacher raged at me.

I nodded swiftly an retunred to reading and jotting down notes here and there. Come back Jun.

Two Boring Hours Later

I walked into my garden again. It made me feel happy and content there. I let out a happy sigh and stretched out my arms.

I sat down onto the grass again and looked up into the cloudless sky. Looming trees shadowed my face. The clouds were changing shapes...is that a pheonix I see?

A bright beam of sun made its way into my eyes, I shield it with my arm. I wish I had of those sunglasses things Jun has. Meanwhile the topic lingered on Jun...I started to think. No it doesn’t hurt. I guess I was a little to mean, but she didn’t have to run out on me like that!

Untying my tight hair, I let it pool down onto my shoulders. Stupid Dark. He was always causing havroc in our house, why? Because my father wanted us to be engaged, and so that happened, but Dark hated the idea so much. He despised me.

‘Why does so many people hate me?’ The thought ran across my mind. I mean sure sometimes I try to act like I know everything, or I use other poeple’s quotes, but what’s wrong with that?

“Mika.”

Brushing dirt from my Qi Pao, I quickly stood up and spun around. “Who’s there? Hpw dare you trespass on this property! You have defied the law. Come out before I call upon my guards.”

“Oh, there’s no one, but me.” A mocking voice rang through the garden.

“I demand you to come out.” My voice was tight and angry. First clenched at my sides and I was really annoyed.

A smiling Tan Jun walked out behind the rose bushes. “Woah, Mika, chill girl, your still as uptight as my mother in a fit.”

“J-Jun?” I was astonished. She left for two whole entire weeks and now she comes back looking like she’s won a battle.

“What are you doing here!” I was soooooo mad. Yes, Chang Mika is mad, yet again.

Leaves rustled in restlessly as the wind blew at its full rage.

Jun’s hands brushed her bangs from her eyes. “I thoguht you missed me.” Her eyes pouted and her lips merged into a thin line.

“I think I’ve had enoguh of your games Jun. You not only have ran out of the grounds, but now, you come back looking like nothing happened. How dare you Jun!” I took a step forward.

Ratty old sneakers squeaked against the cold solid ground, fingers laced tight around numb arms, an effort to keep the blood running. Dark eyes swirled with empty emotion. “Don’t be like that Mika.” Empty laughter filled the gardens.

Raising my fist as a sign for her to revert to her ‘normal’ self, I took another step closer and glared at her with all my might. “What the heck is wrong with you Jun?”

She didn’t catch my hint; instead she swung down low and aimed a kick for my legs. I jumped quickly and landed on the side. “JUN! Stop it! What is wrong?!”

Grinning psychotically, she leapt forward and threw a punch at my stomach. I jumped back yet again just in time. “Jun! Please! I-…” She cut off my sentence as she elbowed me in the chest.

Stumbling back blindly and gasping wildly for air, I clawed and coughed and fell onto the ground.

“Pathetic Mika. You are truly a pathetic girl.” Emotionless smile plastered across her tanned face, she jumped up and aimed a kick at my face.

“Two can play at this game!” I smiled sweetly and dodged and jumped behind her, pressing her pressure point on her neck, she winced in pain. Quickly, I pressed another point on her arm. Again, Jun writhed in pain.

‘Woah…studying actually works…’ The mere thought scared me.

“Now you’re getting it Mika!” She ran straight at me. So I turned to a fighting stance, but at the last moment she swerved left and her punch hit my straight on the head and I could feel my head pounding.

‘Ow…’ I held a hand to my head while trying to shake it off. I wasn’t really good at the fighting kind of stuff, but I knew Jun wasn’t either. Sure she wanted to learn the martial arts stuff, but her mom didn’t let her. I, on the other hand was forced to learn Martial arts.

“Heeeya!” She yelled and kicked me on the shin. So now I was holding both my head and shin in pain.

“My my, terribly pathetic.” She tsk-ed at me. I wanted to bite her waving finger off, but she jumped back.

I leapt up and dashed forward, she dodged me punch, but couldn’t avoid my hand that pressed another point on her knee.

She halted and fell onto her knees.

I smiled quickly and pressed another pressure point on her neck, then back and quickly on each of her arms.

“Shhh…go to sleep now Jun.” I learned all this from my teacher who taught us which points to press to do different things. Never thought it would actually become handy.

I was quite surprised to see Jun shaking her head trying to not fall asleep. “

“Don’t resist it Jun…” I murmured softly to her.

She was too stubborn for her own good. She attempted to stand up, but I hit the pressure point on the back of her knee and she fell onto the ground…hard. Upsetting some dust and dirt, Jun groaned and turned over onto her back.

Tan Jun

It hurt so much.

I shut my eyes and rolled over. I wanted to scream. It felt like my anger towards everything was ruling over me.

Something nudged at my heart. I didn’t know why…but I saw my life flashing wildly through my eyes, as if someone was re-organizing them, but they seemed only to file my bad times.

~Flash~

“Oh My Goodness! Did you see Jun’s shoes? She’s so not going to make long jump!” Kacie nudged Jessica in the ribs and nodded towards me. I caught Jessica’s glance, she quickly turned to Kacie and muttered something suspiciously close to the lies of “Yea, I know, oh boy, she’s going to have trouble.”

My head hurt. Something’s going to burst…

“Ewww…I’m not using her stuff, she bites her nails!” Irene screeched at Rickie while looking at me.

  “No I don’t!” I shot back.

“So, you chew your clothes! How sickening!” Irene shook her head and turned around.

It hurt so much…yet everyday I kept telling myself ‘It’ll all be better…’

“Yea right, you Chinese are not smart enough to invent something like this!” Travis snickered while examining his watch.

I growled deep in my throat.

“Calm down.” Wendy told me, patting my lightly on the shoulder. “It’s okay.”

“NO ITS NOT! HE’S PUTTING US DOWN!” I wanted to shake Travis to death then and there…but I couldn’t.

“Haha! I bet on their birthday their parents are like ‘Sorry, we aren’t smart enough to get you anything so we decided to cook your cat!’ Ken snickered along while pointing at Andrew’s lunch.

Yet each day I keep thinking…’It’ll all go away…’

“Christina! Just because you’re mad does not give you the right to make Max turn against me!” I balled my fist and clenched my jaw.

”Your point?” Christina leaned against the bench and examined her nails. She flattened them and gazed at it under the sun.

I wanted to scream.

“Remember you anger Jun…remember…” An eerie voice called into my head.

“Light is nothing without Darkness, as Darkness is nothing without light…embrace it Jun.”

I squinted and could see a bright light upcoming, but soon the light was shadowed with purple and I shivered for no reason. It was not cold, nor hot, but something gave me the bejeebies.

“Remember…remember your hatred.”

I shut my eyes. Yes. Everyone was mean. Mean. SO MEAN!

‘How dare he diss the Chinese!’ ‘ How dare she call me that! How could she turn against me like that!’ ‘ She’s changed!’

I was mad. Hornet mad.

And that is why, revenge tastes sweet. First victim…Mika.”

My eyes clouded over, I shook my head. “Yes, Dark.”0

An eye opened, follow by another. “Ugh...” It felt like my head had been through a dryer and wringed out as tightly as possible.

First thing I caught glimpse of was Mika. Anger flood through me.

~Flash~

“Hey.” No one said anything just looked down and continued on their projects.

“Anyone there?” Yet again I was greeted with silence. Frowning I sat down onto my seat and turned to Sandy, “Whats with everyone?” I muttuerd to her.

She furrowed her eyebrows and shot a dark look at me. “Be quiet Jun!”

I let a short look of hurt flash across my face. “Um...okay...”

~Flash~

A dark look crossed my face as I glared as deeply as I could at Mika. Standing up quickly I lift my arms up in a punching stance.

Mika put her hands above her head and sighed loudly. “What is with you Jun!”

“Nothing! It’s you...it’s all of you! I tried my best to be me, but no, I was me I was ignored! So I had to be something else to be noticed! But when I did that, I got rejected! You people are so closed-minded!” I swung a punch at her head, but she jumped up onto a tree branch.

“Jun! Calm down!” She yelled from the tree.

This was it. I had enough. “I calmed down for 5 years! I held it all in for 5 years! AND YOU WANT ME TO CALM DOWN! NO THANKS!” I ran over to the tree and lept up, kicked the tree for support and grabbed onto the branch Mika was on. Swining my self under, I held on and flipped quickly onto the branch.

Mika was inching away, I knew what she was doing, she wanted me to come closer, then she would reach over rpess the pressure point and my neck, I would wince in pain she would leap behind me and kick me off the tree.

“Jun, you’re binded by your anger, breath Jun, calm down. 5 years is long, but I am your best friend and I will listen please. No one is perfect, the worlf is full of flaws. Please, head my words and let yourself free.” Mika inched away further.

“How’s this, why don’t I set you free!” I pushed her from the branch, but she was ready, she grabbed my arm, flipped herself over me, rustling some leaves and she kicked me down from the tree.

I landed on my feet, fist balled until my knuckles were white. “Why you...”

Up from the tree she grinned widely and nestled down. “We can go through that again, “ Examining her nails, which tweaked a memory from my mind, “Or, you can tell me what’s wrong with you and we can all be calm.”

“No!” I shouted. I readied myself and ran up the tree trunk. Mika grabbed my wrist and pushed me down. “

“I told you so Jun.” She stuck her tongue at me.

“Then why don’t you come down here!” I yelled up from where I was sprawled.

“Hmmm....I think not.”

Again, my temper resurfaced and I punced. No, this time I grabbed a nearby bush and swung myself on the tree. Mika was quite surprised after all, I just grabbed her favourite rose-bush. I reached her branch and leapt on. I swung her behind me and faced her.

“Lets repeat this, except vice-versa.” And this time, I pushed her down. She wasn’t ready and fell hard onto the grass.

Looking at me with hatred in her eyes, she narrowed them and whispered, “You’re not Jun. You’ve taken over my best friend and I won’t let you go!”

I squaked in surprise, then it hit me. “She-she’s my friend...my best friend...she cared...she...-”

‘Don’t listen to her lies!’ A voice yelled into my head. It pounded and I felt my ears ring.

“I will! She’s my BEST friend! And you can’t change that!” I wanted to squeeze that voice from my head. So I shut my eyes, and willed them away.

“Go away.” I whispered at first.

“No! Don’t do that Jun!” The voice was getting smaller.

“You are not my friend, you have blinded my heart and soul with anger and you will never be forgiven. Get, outta my head!” I screamed over and over again. When my outbusrt was finished and I was panting, the voice was gone, but what appeared in front of my was a young Dark.

“Oh my gosh...I’m confused, wasn’t there an older Dark?” I scratched my head and looked at Mika.

From the tints on her cheeks she was....BLUSHING?

“What’s going on here?” I looked from Dark to Mika, back and forth, back to the dazed Dark sprawled onto the ground and to the blushing Mika who was clencing her fists.

“Um...” Young Dark looked quite frightened. “Well...” He caught site of Mika and quickly averted his gaze.

“WHY IS EVERYONE BLUSHING?” I screeched. ‘This is sooooooo weird.’

“Well...we’ve never been alone like this...” Mika whispered, it was so quite I could barely catch her words.

I sweatdropped. My jaw dropped, but I quickly pushed it back up. “Do you guys like each other or what!” I yelled.

Again they both flushed a deep red and turned to gaze at anything but each other.

‘I could use some Aspirin about now.’ I rubbed my temples. “Could you guys be anymore obvious? This is so weird! One-minute we’re all like ‘Lets fight!’ Next thing you know there’s a voice in my head and I will it out, and this young Dark guy pops out. And now I find out you guys like each other! I am soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo confused!”

When I finish they’re both laughing. “Oh god.” I mutter and shake my head.
